San Luis Valley

The San Luis Valley lies between the Sangre de Cristo and San Juan mountain ranges.  It is a high alpine valley, with the valley floor over 7,400 feet in elevation and the bordering mountains soaring to over 14,000 feet.  It is home to the Great Sand Dunes National Park, which has the tallest dunes in North America.  It is a rural and agricultural area, with ample public land and outdoor recreation.

Saguache is nestled in the foothills in the northwest corner of the valley, with easy access to the mountains and the San Luis Valley.  It is a pleasant town, with a slow pace of life and friendly faces.  Come and visit us!
